“Career Opportunities in Government Sectors for Civil Engineers”

Inauguration of Civil Engineering association and a webinar on “Career Opportunities in Government Sectors for Civil Engineers“ was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering in association with ICI Students chapter on 14.9.2021. The Guest Speaker of the webinar is Er.S.Prasanna, Assistant Executive Engineer, TANGEDCO (TNEB), Chennai. He delivered about the scope of Civil Engineers in the construction of hydro electric & thermal power plants. He also explained about the extent of civil engineers in the field of government sectors especially in thermal power plants & hydro electric projects. He also added importance of civil and structural engineers in the designing of structures and scope of job opportunities in various government sectors. He also pointed out the importance and its scope of studying analysis and designing of structures using soft wares.

He shared his experience in Kundah Pumped Storage Hydro Electric Projects. The session was very much helpful to the students for knowing about the opportunities in government sectors in Civil Engineering.
