Awareness Programme on “ROAD SIGNALS AND SAFETY”

The session started with the welcome address by Mr.Prasanth S of Third year Mechanical engineering. Invitees expresses that road signals are very important, that road traffic injuries remain an important public health problem. When road safety products are utilized correctly or efficiently, they can help save lives, prevent accidents and injuries, and keep a society functioning in the most optimal way. Also pointed out about the importance and benefits of wearing helmet, wearing seat belt, traffic rules and Insurance for vehicle to the participants. Also explained the proper way of riding in traffics and high ways. Also advised to hold the license while driving vehicle and proper method of getting license, and to renew with time to time. During the session guest reviled the penalty for driving the vehicle without license, Drunk and drive, driving without proper documents. Invitees explained what to do during emergency/road accidents while travelling to save life of personal and publics. Also stated the importance 100/108 facility. The session ended with the vote of thanks by Mr. Akash Deep Rajkhowa of Third year Mechanical engineering.
