A Workshop on “Design Thinking – A Non-Linear Process”

The objective of the workshop is to give a clear picture on how design thinking is a non-linear for participant students and teachers. The workshop focus on the iterative process of design thinking in which in students can seek to understand their users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems and create innovative solutions which they can prototype and test.
The JIT – Intellectual Property Rights Cell in association with JIT-IIC organizes a workshop on Design Thinking – A Non-Linear process to educate the students and teachers on the iterative processing. 0n 23.01.23 with the prayer song followed by welcome address given by Dr.E.S.Shamila, IPR coordinator the workshop was conducted. The resource person Dr. M.V.Suresh Kumar, Director, explains how to search their users and challenge assumptions. Dr.N.Srinivasan, Innovation Ambassador explains the five phases of design thinking Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test which is most useful to tackle problems that are ill-defined or unknown..Dr.R.Senjudarvannan, Prof.&Head, Physics enlighten the concepts of different problems and to create innovative solutions. Prof.L.Agnespreethi, Innovation Ambassador, focused on prototype development. Finally with the vote of thanks by Dr.M.M.Matheswaran IIC President the event ended.
